Compassion is being a great friend, empathizing with others and acting on those feelings with care and concern.

YOU SHOW COMPASSION WHEN YOU:

  • Notice and compliment others’ talents and skills
  • Notice when someone seems sad or troubled
  • Put yourself in someone else’s place or ask yourself how you feel if it were happening to you
  • Take time to be a good listener
  • Invite a new student to play with you or invite a new student to play with you and your friends
  • Forgive others when they make mistakes
  • Help others because you want to, not because you have to
  • Show kindness without expecting rewards
  • Tell and show others that you care.
